Booking Through Thursday: Siblings

BTT asked: Do you have siblings? Do they like to read?

My answer: Yes, I have a younger brother (turning 14 soon) and a younger sister (turning 17 soon) who both read to some extent.  My sister reads a lot of YA fiction, especially fantasy.  She’s read all the Harry Potter books and even Twilight before I’d heard of it and it became really popular. We often go to the library together and she always gets a few books although she’s not as methodical in picking them as I am.  She likes to make fun of me for trying to figure out books in advance whereas she can walk up to a shelf and find a few to read.  I wish I could do that!

Here are some of the books she’s read that I can remember:
Naughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman
Crank by Ellen Hopkins
The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff
Fat Vampire by Adam Rex
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

My brother is a really picky reader and it’s hard to find books that he’ll enjoy.  I’m always trying to find him something interesting to read but it’s not easy.  So far, here are a few books that he’s enjoyed:
Across the Universe by Beth Revis
Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter
Alcatraz series by Brandon Sanderson
He’s also enjoyed some of the Indiana Jones and Star Wars books written by various authors.

I’m really interested to see what other people write.  It’s always nice to share a passion with one of your siblings.  I’m also constantly looking for books that either my brother or sister will like so, if you have any suggestions, please let me know!
