Goodreads Summary: Lots of people are selling “happiness” these days as if it were a marketable commodity. But in her hip self-transformation book, Add More ing to Your Life, motivational speaker and life coach Gabrielle Bernstein truly shows you how to make happiness a way of life. Ms. Bernstein is bringing happy back. Designed to bulldoze negative thought patterns and create personal change through positive affirmations, physical activity, and visualization meditations, Gabrielle guides the reader to happiness in 30 days through her dynamic ing, a proven method of sharpening one’s intuitive senses and activating untapped inspirations.  Gabrielle will prepare you to change your life by accessing a state of “flow,” helping you connect with your ing, your inner guide, and readying you to release your limiting beliefs and to choose happiness.

I discovered Gabrielle Bernstein when she appeared on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday. I’d previously come across her second book, Spirit Junkie, but never picked it up because her teaching is primarily from A Course in Miracles (ACIM), a book that I didn’t strongly connect with so I just figured her books weren’t for me.  Boy was I wrong because this book is amazing!

Easy to read and understand, Gabrielle breaks down the concepts from ACIM for contemporary readers and spiritual seekers.  She gives a lot of examples from her own life and outlines numerous 30-day plans for real change.  After explaining something she takes it a step further and tells you how exactly to implement what you’ve learned into your everyday life.

So if you’ve been reading heavy spiritual books, understand the concepts, but aren’t sure what to do next, this book will be perfect for you.  While I thought I had a pretty good grasp on many spiritual principles, this book opened my eyes to even more things, framed them in a way that was easy to grasp, and gave me many ideas for putting those very principles to work.

I’m so glad I found this book and I’m now a huge Gabrielle Bernstein fan.  I’ll read whatever she writes and can’t wait to read her next book, Spirit Junkie!  For more on Gabrielle check out her awesome website where she blogs and vlogs and shares tons of cool stuff!
