BTT asked: One of those quick, easy questions that I ask periodically because the answer is always changing: What are you reading right now? (And, is it good? Would you recommend it? How did you choose it?)
My answer: I’m not really currently reading anything at the moment. I’ve got a stack of books but I’ve picked up and put down 3 books because they just didn’t appeal to me. Most recently I started reading The Promise of Stardust by Priscille Sibley but it just didn’t grip me and it’s quite long so I doubt I’ll continue reading it. I chose it because it was new and looked interesting and I’m trying to read more books as they come out so I can participate in conversations about them.
But the topic isn’t fascinating enough for me to want to find out or even care what happens to the characters. So I think it’ll end up as a DNF. Isn’t the cover gorgeous though?
So I’m currently in-between books. As February winds down I’ll be selecting new books for March and will be discovering some new books to read.
What about you? What’s your current read? Why did you pick it? Are you enjoying it or is it not working for you?

I really think that some books work better at certain times. I’ve set several aside that I’d probably have liked if I’d read them at a different time.
